Issimo is a regional startup exporting from Mansfield in North East Victoria.
Our mission is to create knowledge and to tell the stories of the high impact groups and individuals to find along the way.
Our story
Issimo started with a journalist, a web designer and a software engineer sitting around a coffee table, talking about publishing and storytelling in the post-print era.
After a series of meandering steps, theories invalidated, and even teaching a Melbourne Uni course to tell the story of our challenges so far, we learned that publishing was no longer about one way broadcasting. It’s about communities, conversations, interactions and shared purpose.
We all moved separately to Northeast Victoria during this time, experiencing first hand what it means to be part of a strong regional community. We put the theories into motion and started building bespoke tools for the groups around us, iterating and learning and always integrating the results back into the same code base – so that everything was always plugged together and made sense.
